  • 1. Tinplate: Tinplate is a steel plate with a layer of tin on its surface. The presence of the tin layer is the key factor in its corrosion resistance. Tin has good chemical stability and is not easily corroded in many environments. When used in the production of metal cans, the tin layer can prevent the acidic and alkaline components in the food or beverage in the can from directly contacting the steel plate, avoiding chemical reactions. For example, in the packaging of acidic beverages, such as canned citrus juice, the tin layer of the tinplate can effectively resist the corrosion of the can body by acidic substances such as citric acid in the juice, thereby extending the service life of the metal can and the shelf life of the food contained.
  • 2. Chrome-plated plate: Chrome-plated plate is chrome-plated on the surface of the steel plate. The chromium layer also has excellent corrosion resistance. Chromium can form a dense oxide film, which can prevent oxygen, moisture and other substances in the external environment from reacting with the steel plate. When packaging some highly corrosive foods, such as pickled foods, this characteristic of the chrome-plated plate can prevent the salt and other components in the pickling liquid from corroding the can body, ensuring that the quality of the food inside the metal can is not affected.
